For most people Sundays are a day to lounge around, brunch with friends, or catch up on sleep...however for me, I take this day as one to experience something new and challenge myself! I hadn't rode a bike in probably 15 years, give or take, and I always wondered if it would be as easy as it sounds "Just like riding a bike." My boyfriend suggested we rent bikes and ride around the perimeter of Manhattan for a fun day activity and I'm always up for something active, but then it dawned on me "What if I don't remember how to ride!?" Luckily, I jumped on the seat at the bike shop, rode once around the block, and then.....rode 14 miles around NYC! How exhilarating! I was able to see neighborhoods I had never experienced and so many incredible little details which makes this city so wonderful. My tush might be a little sore the next day but it was well worth the challenge. Check out the photo below right after I made it about a mile down the FDR. :-)
